Sunday, May 6

The Taurus Sun is in harmony with Neptune in Pisces which presents a wonderful opportunity for artistic expression.  If you’re the type that doesn’t seek the limelight then attend a museum or cultural event that fulfills an artistic sensibility within you.

Jupiter is at the degree of the upcoming Solar Eclipse of August 11, 2018.  Pay attention to what is going on around these couple of days as it will give you a glimpse of what the eclipse means.  This is a foreshadowing period.  Since it is the greater benefic triggering events it can bestow some good luck or something prosperous that increases in value in that August time period.  Increasing value can also have ramifications of spending too much, so be aware of what is in the air.  There could be a collaboration beginning now that increases in a joyful way in August or there could be excesses in certain types of behavior now that show themselves in more dramatic ways in August.

Another thing to note is the impending entry of Uranus in Taurus on May 15.  We are already feeling it with the major event of the past 48 hours being the volcanic eruptions in Hawaii.  Taurus is Mother Earth and Uranus represents earthquakes, eruptions, sudden shocks and major disruptions to the Earth.  There is no earthier sign than Taurus.  Gaia and Uranus don’t get along in mythology especially after Uranus finds his progeny with Gaia to be horrific monsters, not worthy of his seed.  He banishes his ugly offspring to Tartarus deep in the bowels of Gaia.  Uranus was not portrayed as the most loving Father.  Gaia, who loved all her creations equally, was enraged at the maltreatment of some of her children and entreated her other children to come to her aid.  The only one bold enough to do so was Cronus (Saturn) who boldly came to the rescue by castrating his father (Uranus) whos bloody genitals fell into the sea (out of which Venus was born).  It’s a rather bloody and violent myth but highly symbolic of Uranus’ entry into Taurus.  Mother earth is angry and we are likely to see more violent types of natural events occurring like the current volcanic eruption in Hawaii.  Let’s just see how angry Mother Earth is as she releases her children from deep within her core as Uranus enters Taurus on May 15 and the retrogrades back into Aries on November 6 and then back into Taurus on March 6, 2019 where he will remain through spring 2026.

It’s always the planetary ingress in the first year when it slips between signs when we feel repercussions most intensely.  It may take a while before we feel the birth of Venus born out of the bloody mess being spewed forth.
