Today is the Solar Eclipse in Capricorn. Solar Eclipses often usher in fated events that may occur within close proximity of the eclipse date or plants the seeds for fated events to be triggered on certain dates within the next six months before the next pair of eclipses in July.

Capricorn is a sign that has to do with father time, the passage of time, the limits set on the body by time and the goals we are meant to achieve through consistent hard work and effort as time ticks away during our 80+ years on the face of the earth. The fear associated with this sign has more to do with the shame one feels when not living up to one’s potential and expectations. After all we are here on Earth to manifest our destiny in the material world. There’s a great deal of responsibility associated with this sign for when one is responsible for the path, shape, and structures of one’s life you really can’t blame anyone but yourself for your failures. If you’re not putting in the hard work and effort towards achieving a standing, reputation, status and recognition in society then the pay-off or cornucopia won’t meet expectations and you’ll be humbled and brought to your knees (Capricorn rules the knees, bones, skeleton, teeth and skin – all things that become decrepit with the passage of time).

This eclipse is about where you have to build stronger foundations and structures in order to make the areas of your life affiliated with Capricorn (i.e. the house that contains the sign of Capricorn) more materially secure. Time is up in this area of life and things must be examined with great honesty. Certain structures will have to be torn down that have not withstood the test of time and those structures that have withstood the test of time need to be made stronger, built up and reinforced. Will you be building walls or tearing them down? It’s okay to build walls if they make things stronger but not if they are built out of fear of the unknown. Because everything is at its limit, outdated structures will fall apart and snap because they have ossified past their expiration date. You’ll see many old people dying now.

Those in the prime of life will begin to question the legacy that they plan to leave behind. It is very important for most people to leave something behind after they die and this sign has a great preoccupation for productivity in the material world and leaving its stamp on mankind.
What price are you willing to pay to achieve the best that life has to offer? If you want to enjoy the pleasures of life then you must work hard to earn them. Capricorn keeps you honest because if you take short cuts you won’t be rewarded.

The house position of the eclipse will be where you are tested, have limits, have things come to an end or where you have to put in extra hard work to improve your life to make that area more stellar, stupendous, strong, and meet a high standard in order to claim your destiny. At it’s best it’s about reaching the summit, peak and mountain top!

People over 40 will be more aware of health issues affiliated with old age such afflictions to the knees, bones, arthritis, wrinkles and the ravages of time. Young people may run into more trouble with authority figures. Everyone should go to the dentist and have their teeth checked out.
With Saturn currently traveling in it’s home sign of Capricorn he will want you to work hard to achieve the very best you can and even if you fail it’s about the effort and learning from your failures and going back into the fray and trying even harder. The most Capricorn of phrases is: “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again!”

The Patriarchy comes under the microscope in this sign so on the world and political stages lets see what happens in the next year with the old guard currently in power.

Take deep breaths during the eclipse month of January. Remember as I’ve said many times recently. During an eclipse the senses are heightened and you may be in the dark about what is happening therefore, nothing is as bad as it seems and nothing is as good as it seems. You have to let the story unfold and by February you’ll have a much more level-headed reality about what it’s all about.

What reality are you authoring?
