We are smack in the middle of eclipse season. This one covers the sign polarity of Taurus/Scorpio. Whatever houses have those two signs on the cusp will be areas of life where you will have a more powerful and disruptive energy than usual and where you may have more fated types of life events surrounding beginnings and endings. In general, a Solar Eclipse plants seeds for new beginnings that will grow over the next 6 months and the lunar eclipse culminates recent events bringing them to some sort of conclusion or next stage.
These eclipses have an extra special type of potency due to other concurrent planetary movements. Let’s just outline the basic facts: The Solar Eclipse occurred on April 30, 2022, at 10° Taurus 28’ within a 3° orb of conjunction to transiting Uranus. The Lunar Eclipse will occur on May 16, 2022, at 25° Scorpio 18’ in very tight square to transiting Saturn. Even though transiting Saturn and Uranus are no longer in a tight square they are still in square signs and this eclipse will reemphasize and exacerbate all the meaning of the Saturn/Uranus recent exact squares of 2/17/21, 6/14/21 and 12/24/21. The ever-evolving story between the struggle to learn and incorporate lessons of balancing the old with the new will continue. Your personal life lessons, as well as those in the collective zeitgeist, that started at the top of 2020 will ratchet up to the next evolutionary level. Continue to observe unstable world events, social movements and revolutionary energy pile up since the perfections of those squares.
The other major planetary influences during this eclipse season is a Mercury retrograde from May 10 through June 3 that starts at 5° Gemini and retrogrades back to 26° Taurus and Jupiter’s ingress into Aries on May 10.
Nothing happens in a vacuum in life or in astrology. It’s all about synthesis of conflicting energies and when you live long enough you come to understand that many things are happening all at once that need to be fused. Life is about connecting the dots. While a solar eclipse in tandem with Jupiter entering Aries, the first sign of the zodiac, suggests new beginnings, start-ups and leaping into action like a ram battering through a wall, Mercury retrograde adds more complexity to the situation. Jupiter in Aries gives the confidence and vision in some area of life to move forward towards a new adventure and journey of understating and self-discovery that revitalizes our spirit. The trickster says there’s a three week period of reviewing, re-analyzing, reconsidering and double checking our plans to make sure everything is in order. Mercury says let’s not move that fast because in our haste we may overlook some important information that can trip us up if we’re not careful. There is further research, information and fact finding before moving full speed ahead. If we are not careful we will miss some heretofore hidden invaluable piece of the puzzle that must reach our ears in order to move forward with something that adds even greater substance, security and value to our lives. A practical example of this would be that you’re all set to launch a new website - it’s designed, ready, looks good and you want to get your product out there and start making money. All things being equal, my advice would be to have the web designer review the site with you and pick through it with a fine-toothed comb to make any last minute tweaks and modifications because you’ll catch something that will improve the website and benefit you in the long run.
The awareness of a Scorpio lunar eclipse squaring Saturn forces us to face the deeper evolutionary power of the cycle of time and foreshadows death of some kind. This can show up physically, emotionally, mentally or psychologically. There is an illumination that something must come to an end in a very final and concrete way. The transition will eventually lead to a rebirth but not before some screaming, yelling, pain and suffering. Some folks deal with this type of energy better than others. Much of that depends on natal planetary configurations along with how current transits and progressions align with the natal chart.
The Taurus/Scorpio polarity is about what makes life richer, deeper, more valuable and enriching. It is the substance that lies beneath the surface, hidden talents, hidden powers. It deals issues of intimacy, trust, exchanges of money, power, ownership, privacy, taboos and all things sexual. What does sex mean to you? What negotiations and exchanges do you make to acquire sexual and emotional intimacy? Do you pay for sex like a John for a prostitute? We all do in one form or another, but society finds some forms of exchange more socially acceptable than others. What do you bring to the table vs. your partner? How much are you willing to pay for emotional and sexual intimacy? And when the tables turn and the sex, love and intimacy dies how much are you willing to give back in restitution and retribution? What is that old life worth in order to extricate yourself from attachments that no longer hold the same value? That is what divorce is all about whether you divorce yourself from a spouse, cherished friend, loved one, job or company. You see it very clearly in marital splits when the settlement must be made in terms of cash, property, assets and possessions. It also happens when there’s the death of a job, career or loved one.
This eclipse season also has the potential to force people to deal with all types of addictions, jealousies and obsessions. Those things that we hold on to for dear life because they are habitual and feel good even if they are killing us!
Reconsider things very deeply and with more psychological awareness this eclipse season before making those new beginnings. The snake is still in the process of shedding its skin.
Tonight, into tomorrow Mars and Venus, the archetypal lovers, conjoin at 0° Aquarius. These two planets have been traveling closely together for the past month in the sign of Capricorn having had an exact conjunction on February 16.
The Capricorn pile up recently has seen a tremendous amount of break down, break up and purging of structures that have reached their limit in terms of productivity on a personal and collective level. Zero degrees Aquarius is the birth of something new and hopeful for the future. There are new horizons to explore full of innovation, unknown technological advancement and intellectual enlightenment.
From the Venusian perspective this conjunction has a great deal to do with money, values and relationships while Mars supplies courage, assertion, ambition for work productivity along with the energy and drive to get what you want. In simplistic terms Venus represents what we want in terms of earthly pleasure, goals and delight and Mars represents how we go about getting what we want on the Earth planet. This combination of energies is very much associated with creative work and projects as well as marriage, sex and partnerships of all kinds that require some sort of intimacy or collaboration. The love planets in Aquarius have a democratic touch and there is the desire in this sign for freedom, equality and personal liberty.
Our deeply held system of values is in the process of changing and evolving. Aquarius is forward thinking and always looks towards the future as it thrives to attain a more utopian reality if possible. Aquarius asks, what are the possibilities for a brighter future, and what new discoveries can be made to fee us from shackles, chains and bondage? The negative side of Aquarius is rigid, group mentality thinking. The kind of thinking that says if you don’t believe what I believe then I will eject you from the group and ostracize you until you bend to the group thinking. It’s a rigid and fixed sign and at its worst can divorce, separate, castrate and behead. At its best it enlightens and brings the promethean procreative energy that is divinely inspired from the Gods and Goddesses. Everything happens in a polarity, and you’ll see both types of energies playing out on the world stage as well as in your personal life. What side will you take, and what team will you play on? Will you follow the mass mentality, or will you follow your own voice regardless of the pressures put on you? For most of us it will be a mixed answer.
It’s extremely important when planets cross the 0° Aquarius point as trigger points for events. This is because Jupiter and Saturn conjoined at this point on 12/21/20; the time the Covid Vaccine was introduced. This point represents a great deal about our hope for the future as well as starting a new 20 year global and national economic cycle. Therefore, whenever other planets hit this sensitive degree, it will further enlighten and enhance what this story represents in your life as well as the world based on the seeds planted in late 2020.
We will have to watch with great awareness what happens when Pluto crosses this degree for the first time on March 23, 2023. That can be an extremely problematic and eruptive time in the world. Pluto not only will be crossing this sensitive degree, but he’ll be leaving Capricorn. Whenever Pluto enters a new sign there are major evolutionary changes in the world based upon what that sign represents. That first year of the ingress announces what the major themes will be in a problematic and chaotic way. The political and technological world will be hit hard along with other Aquarian themes such as friendship, democracy, humanitarianism and how we as a people monitor our surveillance activities. Vladimir Putin has just invaded Ukraine and Pluto entering Aquarius can be very disruptive in transforming the current structures and creating a new world order. I’m not sure how this will all play out but don’t forget that Aquarius is the sign of revolutions motivated by making infrastructure shifts in political systems. Communism, Capitalism, Fascism and Plutocracy are the flip sides of the same coin.
It’s important to track these changes carefully in your own personal life. Reflect back to late December 2020 leading into early 2021 as Saturn/Jupiter set the stage at 0° Aquarius, pay attention right now and the coming days and week as Mar/Venus cross the degree and then most importantly when Pluto, lord of darkness and intense, eruptive, volcanic transformation reaches that degree in March 2023. You can also track the monthly movement of the Moon as she passes through the sign of Aquarius to see how that affects your mood.
For the present try to tap into the creative possibilities and enlightenment of the Venus/Mars conjunction. It’s a great time to launch new projects, make new connections and form new partnerships. Break out of old ruts and into something exciting, new and innovative.
Friday, January 28. Friday belongs to Venus so it’s propitious to talk about this planet once again as it is stationing direct tomorrow at 11° Capricorn. Just because the planet of love, marriage, partnership, money, values, pleasure, art, beauty, peace, harmony and social connection is moving forward tomorrow does not mean everything will suddenly be hunky dory in whatever area of life Venus has been doing a major overhaul and transformation. This overhaul and transformation that has been occurring for everyone in varying degrees since mid-November of 2021 is still in a transformative process. The final reckoning (whether good, bad or indifferent) won’t be until she crosses paths with Pluto, Lord of the Underworld, for the last time of this retrograde period on March 3. That’s also around the time she’ll join forces with her astrological lover Mars to from a new partnership and beginning.
Therefore, you can expect another month of hard work and labor in making the necessary structural changes to the Venus in Capricorn areas of your life. There remains a continuation in the process of terminating old contracts and beginning new ones. That may also be a time when you receive a payoff of some kind.
Remember you’re still confronting the past in order to learn from it and resolve issues. Many are confronting exes of all kinds: ex-lovers, ex-financial issues, ex-friends, ex-partners, ex-creative projects, ex-pleasures. I think you get the idea. There are many people and situations dying both literally and psychologically. The confrontation with the past is to learn lessons from it, reincorporate it and move forward. Some of the confrontations and lessons are painful but all of them are there gain some wisdom and move on with life and living.
March will be a forward movement but slowly and cautiously. Venus may be finished with Pluto at that point but from March 3 through March 30 she will be besieged by Mars and Saturn, the two malefics who will do everything in their power to block Venus from achieving her goals. Mars and Saturn will say to Venus, “You may have discovered a new way to express your Venusian ideals but are you ready to do the necessary hard work and labor in the material world to manifest the new image of love, money, values, art, relationship and pleasure? You can’t be a lazy ass bitch and expect to be spoiled and pampered by others. You must toughen up be willing to struggle, assert ambition with a plan and be able to fight hard and long for what you want and know when to compromise and when not to compromise.” Venus wants what she wants when she wants it, but Mars and Saturn will not allow that. They will force her to toe the line, but the tricky question is, will your Venus buckle under the pressure or shape up and grow a tougher outer layer of skin?
An example of how to work with this process on more detailed level would be someone with the retrograde Venus in Capricorn in the third house. The restructuring and transformational process may have to do with a relationship with a sibling. It also may pertain to a writing project from the past that comes back into your life in order to pick up where you left off. It can also have to do with teaching and education. Perhaps the way you deal with local commuting due to the change in status of a relationship with a loved one like an ailing mother whom you love that requires you to visit more via the use of train, car or other local transportation.
Astrology is a complex and yet simple tool to unravel meaning. You just have to know what the meanings of the planets, signs and houses are.
The Moon enters Gemini after a void that lasts from 11:08 am till 3:43 pm ET. The best times to accomplish things are either before or after the void. Once the Moon enters Gemini it will build towards the full moon culminating on Saturday, December 18 at 11:36 pm. For the next two days and through the weekend watch the information that comes to light. This information is tying up the recent eclipses and may reveal important facts that you've been waiting to receive. Answers may be just around the corner even if they're not necessarily the ones you want to hear. This is the time to hear what you need to hear in order to have the full story.
The eclipse energy formally comes to some sort of conclusion but like life itself there is much more going on in the cosmos, so while you may get some answers to an important issue that has been hounding you, the upcoming Venus retrograde as well as a final square between Saturn and Uranus continue to force us to solve other problems. After all part of the joy of living is old doors closing and new ones opening.
Chiron is slowing down and about to turn direct on Sunday, December 19th, the same day as Venus turns retrograde. This adds to healing certain health issues and chronic problems. Covid levels have spiked up and if you're one of those that have caught it recently the station of Chiron turning direct should help in the healing process. For everyone there should be something in your life of a chronic sort whether psychological, physical, emotional or spiritual that can find forward momentum towards healing. It's time to do more than just put another band aid on an old festering wound. How about a new vision and tackling the problem with more courage and a warrior spirit?
This weekend is the last Solar Eclipse of the year and the last one in Sagittarius until December 5, 2029. Since this is the last Solar Eclipse in this sign for a while there is a new beginning on Sagittarian themes based upon what we’ve learned and experienced over the past two years. That accrued knowledge, if used wisely, can put us on a new path and adventure towards a brighter future. That is, if you’d like to interpret the Sagittarius culmination as having gained wisdom by learning a lesson in a hopeful and optimistic way. Sagittarius isn’t known for putting to use its knowledge and lessons because after all that takes too much work and effort (Capricorn/Saturn) and sometimes Sagittarius can be very lazy in implementing that which it has learned. It’s too busy enjoying its freedom, and love of adventure and fun. Let’s see.
This cycle of eclipses began at the height of the pandemic in June 2020 and lasted until now. Sagittarius and Gemini have colored the lens through which we have seen this pandemic as well as focused our attention on the themes and subjects of those signs. Gemini has to do with the collection of information while Sagittarius deciphers and disseminates it. So much of our world view has been colored by the way the media collects information on the pandemic and then broadcasts it out to the world at large. We have a 24/7 news cycle which repeats and repeats the news and is very biased about what the truth is and then alters the so-called irrefutable truth within 24 hours as some new information comes to light. Sagittarius is a mutable sign, so today’s truth isn’t necessarily tomorrow’s truth as new information comes to light. Some see this as adaptable while in certain contexts it comes out as lying and unreliability. While Sagittarius is a truth seeker (as long as it incorporates Gemini’s talent for fact finding) it is also is a gross liar, over exaggerator and likes to often form opinions without getting the facts.
Gemini/Sagittarius is an education and communication polarity and look how much those systems have transformed throughout the world as we have been forced to adapt to new methods of teaching, education, socializing and learning?
This is a travel polarity and how much has travel changed over the past two years? Sagittarius is a legal sign; look at all the laws that have been adapted regarding how we travel and the restriction to our ability to travel, be free and come and go as we please, a liberty the sign Sagittarius usually takes for granted. This pandemic is an airborne virus (Gemini) so we mask up not to breathe on others and it spreads fast, quickly and over large areas of space without restriction (Sagittarius).
This Solar Eclipse is about making a new beginning on all the above-mentioned Sagittarius themes based upon the two-year period that preceded it. Will the pandemic spread further and continue to mutate, or will it be controlled, and will we regain our travel freedoms? With Jupiter about to enter Pisces, the sign of its dignity, I would like to think there is more hope for the pandemic to be dealt with in ways the help others and society through compassion, empathy and outreach.
The new eclipse polarity will now be in Taurus/Scorpio for approximately 18 months and that will be about spending money on infrastructure and how we support the foundations of our society. How we treat the Earth, and our environment will increase in focus. MONEY AND POWER AND GREED. Who do you trust and to whom will you make a commitment?
I’ve talked about the eclipse in terms of our society but the same thing occurs on a personal level, so you apply the interpretation to your chart based upon the houses, signs and planets and that’s what a professional Astrologer does for their clients in a personal consultation.
If you've been following my Facebook blog for the past 10 years you know that I've talked frequently about eclipses. One of the things I have stressed over and over is that during eclipse season we often see deaths of famous or infamous people who were leaders in their field. Men and women of high stature and honors who have contributed something to society and the world on a collective level even if that contribution may have brought great harm or division.
Yesterday we lost one of the Titans (and I don't use that term loosely) of the musical comedy world. Composer Stephen Sondheim died at 91. He was the foremost composer of his generation and redefined the entire genre of musical comedy into something more sophisticated, cerebral and psychological. All the while not losing his supreme gift for entertaining generations of fans. He took an old art form that he greatly respected, learned from the best and then transformed it into something new, richer and deeper. He built on the past, learned from his teachers and led the way for the future and passed on his gift to a newer generation ready to shift the art form once again.
This man was a GIANT in the industry and everyone knew it even if you weren't necessarily a fan. His legacy and imprint on 20th century musical iconography is mind boggling!!! He started first writing the lyrics to WEST SIDE STORY and GYPSY and afterwards he would write all the music and lyrics to his shows and that list is staggering: A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM, COMPANY, FOLLIES, A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, PACIFIC OVERTURES, SWEENEY TODD, MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG, SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE and INTO THE WOODS. There were others along the way as well as film work.
Mr. Sondheim was an Aries Sun, Scorpio rising with Mars, and Mercury in Pisces. He had a very tight Moon/Saturn conjunction in Capricorn that tightly squared his Venus in Aries and that was the overriding signature in his chart and had much to do with his formative years with a monstrous mother and absent father. More about that on another post.
Suffice to say he died between a Lunar Eclipse at 27 Taurus in his 7th house and the upcoming Solar Eclipse at 12 Sagittarius which falls in his 2nd and opposes his natal Jupiter in Gemini in the 8th. That eclipse indicates more of a long journey (Jupiter) of an 8th house kind (death). He most certainly fits into the category of people of great fame and achievement dying during the eclipse season. This energy usually comes in three's so let's see who else will depart this world and leave an equally stellar imprint (or infamous imprint for that matter).
On the day before Thanksgiving, Mercury enters Sagittarius which is not the greatest placement for this planet for the busiest transportation day of the year. Mercury is in detriment in this sign so there is the potential for sloppiness when it comes to having things needing to be run like a finely tuned Swiss watch. There will be glitches in the systems because attention will not be paid to detail which is what busy times require. This is not a good time for the service industry and those jobs that require routine and high functioning to move people along in the most efficient manner. That being said give yourself plenty of time for your journey and try not to be in too much of a hurry. The chances of receiving misinformation are very high so double check everything!
The fiery nature of the day will lift spirits and help you solve any transportation glitches with energy and quick, innovative solutions. The Moon does make lovely trines to Mercury and the Sun so chances are your mood will be good to make the best of any challenging situations. There should be plenty of good cheer in the air amidst the chaos especially if you have travel companions. The expectation of meeting up with family and friends and the joy to be experienced by the evening's reunion for lavish holiday festivities makes any struggle well worthwhile.
People will have good stories to tell!
Yesterday and today Mercury triggers the recent lunar eclipse of November 19th so you may get important news via phone, text, mail or message that further heightens the information coming to light during this eclipse season.
The major aspect dominating the day is the Cancer Moon in trine to Neptune in Pisces. This is an excellent creative energy for disciplines linked towards helping yourself and others. The imagination has full reign to express itself. If you're not in a working frame of mind this energy lends itself very well towards escapist activities. It's a good day to get a head start on Thanksgiving cooking with the Cancer Moon supplying a nurturing and caring mood.
The evening hours are a good time to uncover deeper relationship needs that need to be discussed, processed and transformed in some way. We are in the Sagittarius time of year so whatever is unraveled or revealed brings greater meaning and understanding. Look for explanations that clarify your opinion and point of view.
We are smack in the middle of eclipse season so remember that energies continue to be heightened and over sensitized. Try not to make mountains out of molehills and take a deep breath and think very carefully before taking action, especially if you're acting from an overly emotional POV and responding in knee jerk fashion.
Thursday night into Friday the Lunar Eclipse takes charge of the sky. This eclipse occurs at 27.14 degrees of Taurus. This is the first eclipse that ushers in a new polarity that will shift focus to the signs of Taurus/Scorpio for approximately the next 19 months. This axis has much to do with material security and emotional security. What talent and assets do you bring to the table in a relationship vs. what your partner supplies?
In society you will see big things happening with finance. There was a huge infrastructure bill just passed by the president and that is one of the events that heralds the entrance into the signs of money and power. Taurus and Scorpio care about the underbelly that holds things together. The depth and substance of who you are as a person as well as what supports the infrastructure of our society on a material and emotional level. With Uranus traveling through Taurus, we will continue to have an emphasis placed on money and how it is used, how it is changing and the continued development of crypto currencies.
With a lunar eclipse in Taurus, you must ask what is of utmost value in your life? Do you value material things like money to the neglect of more spiritual types of values such as talent and that which brings more psychological substance? Who and what do you value and why? How do you support yourself and others? How are you working on your own private infrastructure to improve the quality of life?
Taurus is a sign that has a tremendous amount to do with pleasure and indulgence in earthly delights. There could be a great culmination of seeking intense satisfaction over the weekend and in the coming weeks as the eclipse season is around through mid-December. Mars in Scorpio throughout the entire season will stimulate this eclipse in more aggressive ways through a heightened sexuality and drive for power and passion.
People are renewing their health insurance at this time of year and the Scorpio/Taurus dynamic is all about seeking support from agencies that supply insurance, mortgages, loans as well as money received through death and inheritance.
Taurus energy is very present in the moment and in the body. Whatever you're doing this weekend be seen and stand solid like a giant redwood. Make your presence known and show your dependability and loyalty by staying focused on the task at hand. Be aware of your body and do something that nurtures it in a pleasing and healthy way. Of course, indulgence is something that will be on heightened alert this weekend and through the Thanksgiving holiday. Pick one of the 7 deadly sins and enjoy with more abandonment. Be aware of the sensations streaming through the body like an electrical current that recharges and reconnects the body/mind connection. But know when to stop before you short circuit your inner wiring.
Taurus is touchy feely sign and this may be the first holiday in a very long time where you're back in touch with family and friends who have been kept at a distance since the height of the pandemic.
Reach out and touch someone, hug someone and kiss someone with less fear.
When I write my astrology commentary in a forum like this by definition it has to be written in more general language that highlights planets, signs, houses and aspects with significations that everyone can relate to in archetypal ways. In a personal one-on-one consultation there is an opportunity to be more specific because I’m focusing on an individual and am able to do detailed client-based homework. The beauty of astrology is that because we are each born at specific places and times the movement of the planets will affect us differently based upon the condition of planets, signs and houses in the natal chart.
Yesterday, I made a general comment about the planet Mars being at the last degree of Libra and one of the ways that placement could be used in a positive way. In thinking of the planet/sign combination I wrote the following:
“Actively pursue all forms of art and beauty. Take action to do something culturally enlightening through the day and night.”
Mars is the warrior planet having to do with taking bold, assertive action and usually lights a fire under us for better or worse. Mars is also a malefic planet associated with war, violence, anger, rape and toxic masculinity/femininity. Libra is the sign of beauty, balance, harmony, art and partnership specifically the “opposite” or “other”. Libra is a war sign as well for in order to bring peace, balance and harmony into a situation there must be some sort of conflict into which Libra must insert itself.
When a planet is at the last degree of a sign it often expresses itself in more extremely archetypal, sensitized and heightened ways. It screams out “pay attention to me!” Mars at the last degree of Libra would push the style of that sign towards an over the top manifestation. Knowing I had tickets to the Metropolitan Opera last night to see Puccini’s TURANDOT I had that in the back of my mind when writing the post. It would be a good pursuit for most people in a general way whether actively pursing an artistic endeavor or attending one.
Here’s where the magic comes in when you’re able to get more specific. My Ascendant is at the last degree of Libra, where Mars was transiting last night. Whenever a planet crosses the angles (First, Fourth, Seventh or Tenth house cusps) things actively happen and manifest more noticeably as symbolized by one of the many meanings of the planetary/sign combination.
The Ascendant (first house cusp) is particularly sensitive to ones personality, environment and ability to take action and give birth.
Below are two paragraphs copied from the Wikipedia page describing the plot of the opera TURANDOT. When I read them I was overwhelmed by the astrological synchronicity and became full of wonder. The opera is an extremely archetypal expression of Mars at 29° of Libra. Here is a description of Princess Turandot’s opening Aria of female vengeance:
“In the aria, Turandot explains that she conceived the three riddles as a test for any prince who might want to marry her. She explains that in the same palace, countless generations ago (thousands of years ago), a reigning Princess Lou-Ling was conquered by the King of the Tartars, raped and murdered. In particular, she dwells upon the Princess' final crying out and her moment of death at the hands of a man. Based on the memory and the concept of that crying out having been carried down through the many generations to Turandot herself, she resolves to avenge that death by imposing it on all men who fail in the attempt to marry her. She warns the prince that if he fails to answer any one of the three riddles, he will die.
The climax of the aria occurs with the word "grido" ("outcry" or "crying out") and clearly Turandot is reliving and personifying the last moments of her ancestor, its outrage and its long awaited vengeance.
Though Puccini first became interested in the subject matter when reading Friedrich Schiller’s 1801 adaptation, he based his work more closely on the earlier play Turandot (1762) by Count Carlo Gozzi. The original story is one of the seven stories in the epic Haft Peykar - a work by twelfth-century Persian poet Nizami (c. 1141-1209). Nizami aligned his seven stories with the seven days of the week, the seven colors, and the seven planets known in his era. This particular narrative is the story of Tuesday, as told to the king of Iran, Bahram V (r. 420–438), by his companion of the red dome, associated with Mars.”
In review: Mars is energy in action, war, violence, murder, rape, revenge and killing. Libra is the sign of art, beauty, balance, marriage and harmony. The 29th degree is the grandiosity and extreme expression of the planetary/sign combination. Because Mars was crossing the sensitive degree of my Ascendant last night it connected me to the event in a personal way. All the Mars/Libra manifestations described above had access to enter my immediate environment. Luckily I was able to experience this energy positively through the vehicle of great art whose subject matter had to do with all the unsavory Martian energies described above, yet presented in the most grandiose artistic vision.
And the cherry on top to the sundae is that I was treated to both front row, stage center seats and dinner at The Met Grand Tier restaurant. So it was truly an elegantly high style night celebrating the Libra energy and sending it out with a bang!
